Gifts From God
When it snows, it brings beauty to land and all that surrounds it. It's a beautiful. I normally take pictures when it snow. But, photos don't do justice in which the eye can see. The view is like stepping into another space. When I see this. I'm left to admire the view in the moments of time that I take to look.
I can see God as an artist. All He creates to beautiful. I enjoy looking at nature. The skies and the land are set in our display for a purpose.
Goals For The Week
Daily devotional, journaling , reading, meditation
Do what I need to do and what I should be doing and do my best to keep on track.
Post my blogs for week four themes: Education and A Family Member
Rest, relax and have fun
I'm thankful for the people God places in my pathway. I believe that God brings people into our lives for a purpose. We learn from one another. May we see that those who are around us are gifts from God. And our lives are a gift from God. All good things come from God.
The Sunday gathering message It's All A Gift It was a good sermon.
"It’s all a gift—all of it. Being, creation, your life, forgiveness, immortality, and the final promise that at the end of all things God will be all in all—it’s all a gift. "
Eleven weeks to go to enter into my next decade.
I'm thankful that life is a gift from God. And all that God has given us is a gift. Live life in love.

A Good Day To Journal
We have a snow day.
And it's piling up very slowly since 11 am. They say, it will be about 4 inches when it's all said and done. I hope it's not too bad outside.
It's been a fun day.
I did something that I haven't done in years. I'm glad that I got to go. I might do it again sometime. It was so fun. All I had to do was to show up. And just be.
I'm changing up some things next week.
I was thinking. I'm don't need to blog everyday on this site. I'm future posting on my Challenge blogs on Saturday. I'm thinking about having blogging days for this yet.
Sunday is a good day to journal.
Sunday is the first day of the week. Saturday is a good day as well, as it is the last day of the week. The week days are the ones that I'm looking at for some changes. I have two blogs that are only once a week.
I did look through some of the DNA matches.
I didn't see any connections. I tend to forget to check my other DNA sites. I will have to get with it.
I'm getting ready to watch the NFL.
This will be a game to watch. And it's snowing in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm rooting for the Chiefs.

Making A Way To Keep On Track
I got thrown off track this week. I'm not worried. It's good to not to be so serous about goal keeping. I'll making a way to get back on track.
It's my 13th year on Twitter. I joined on January 20, 2010. Things have changed over the years. I have less people I know that clicked on to follow me. I have 88 people listed on my my list. I'm on Twitter less over the years. I'm in and out and future post a lot.
I created other new accounts. It's like I really need them. Oh, the password keeping, I have. I can always create another password.
What are the benefits of doing some things? I see that I need to let go of things to make room for the new things that are coming. I've been doing less of what's draining me. I'm putting my energy on the things that bring me energy.
I'm working on my Saturday blog with the theme of FAMILY. I have another theme for #52Ancestors EDUCATION. I may change what I started. The prompts get me to thinking. Then again, I post what I have.
Thanks for reading.
I'm making a way to keep on track.

Good Day
I continue to work on my In Remembrance list for the descendants of Benjamin Dade Sr. and Lucy (Sampso) Dade. They have a lot of descendants. I had to take a break on Eliza "Lizzie" Dade Calsaw.
I'm adding more of Benjamin and Lucy Dade's lineage as I'm adding to my list on the calendar. I didn't think to do this until I got to Eliza Dade that I completed today I'm adding living relatives to the Family Connections tree.
I have two more Dade children to go; Brandy Dade and Charles Dade. I have finished with George B. Dade, Fanny (Dade) Cottell Martha (Dade) Carter, Eliza "Lizzie" (Dade) Calsaw. I'm not for sure if Mary Dade and Benjamin Dade had not off springs.
What I am doing is time consuming. And I see that this is a good thing in the long run by adding the list of names on a calendar. I'm seeing that relatives has to same birth and death dates this way. .
I finished up on my blog: The Tombstone Of "Chas Langford": Out Of Place. It's set to post tomorrow. I may come back and re read it. I continue to wok on next weeks' theme: Education. My goal is to write shorter blogs.
It's been a good day.

Set Time To Start And Stopping Point
We're half way through January. The high today is going to be in the 50's. Yesterday, we had a cold wind and I saw people out and a bout without a coat or jacket. There were people golfing. Some were at the parks.
I've been working on my #52Ancestors challenge for this week and next week. Week three theme is Out Of Place and week four. theme is Education. I have week three about done.
I'm doing my best to keep up on my routines for each day. I have to know which days are my most productive day in doing things. Those days are Sundays and Thursdays.
I've been changing things up to get things done. It's good to have a set time to start and stopping point. I have to leave some things for next time.
I had some extra time. I was recording in remembrance dates on a calendar: the descendants of Benjamin Dade and Lucy Sampson Dade. Out of the eight know children, I have five of their children's off springs listed on my calendar. I have four more to go.

My Strength And My Song
It was a beautiful Sunday. I enjoyed the view on the way to (and fro) the Sunday gathering. I'm thankful for those who stopped to chat with me. Christ Be All Around Me.
Sunday is always a long day in the making for me. I continue to learn how to balance this day. I do like being out and about on Sundays. And now, I'm finally settling down.
I continue to keep up on my journaling. But, I'm trying not to journal too long. I checked my DNA matches. I wasn't as long on social media as I am on Sundays. I'm slowing down more.
The Sunday Gathering:
The message was Jesus Christ Is The True Lens Of Scripture by Pastor Brian Zahnd.
The first two questions that's on the discussion small group for this message.
1.) What was the first Bible you received or purchased for yourself?
My first Bible I received was by Word Of Life Church, I responded to an alter call on September 17, 1993. and received the paper back cop of the New King James Version. I was a first time visitor as well.
The first Bible I purchased for myself, cost me $1. I ordered it through the mail in the late 1980's or early 1990's. It was the hard copy of The Revised English Bible. I still have both Bibles.
2. ) Do you have a favorite Bible verse? If you have memorized, share it with the group.
The Lord is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Exodus 15:2 (ESV)

My Strength And My Song
My goal for the week
I'm listing some of my blessings for this week.
I'm listing my bees that bring discouragement.
I'm thinking of why are these discouragement so?
And why do I return to them?
I will focus on the good of things.
And pray about what distracts my thinking.
I have 83 days to go to my next decade.
I came to Jesus to be my LORD in 1983.
This March 25th will be my 40th Anniversary!

A Week Of Surprises And Some Fun
I was out and a bout with people. I went to get my hair done and went shopping. I have been enjoying this day. It was like a day that came about as I was going.
Yes, it's been a wonderful week. I had other guest who came by besides the one just happened to be in the neighborhood. There was two relatives who came by and we received communion together. We had a nice too.
I'm into reading up on the news on my cellphone and computer. The newspaper came by mail carrier yesterday. The paper appear to be smaller. The paper cost was $3.25 per copy. I don't pay that much. I'm a subscriber.
I thought to change up some things along the way. My goal is to journaling everyday. I see this as a good thing for me. It has been clearing my thoughts. And it's giving me some new ideas to do.
I'm getting into journaling more. It's good therapy. I been journaling on my "On My Journey" I posted that before this one. I'm learning not to make my blogs long.
I don't know if anyone is reading what I'm journaling. It's a practice for me to keep my mind active and doing something. Perhaps some day, I will come back and re read what I was doing back in the days.

Rearranging Some Things
As I began journaling I was in silent.
I was updating my Bartlett Family Connections: In Remembrance of January on my Family Connections: Gathering The Generations site. I began to arrange the relatives in remembrance according by the day of remembrance last month. Before this, I had them in groups by branches of Elias Bartlett's children. It was same with the Dade and Blakey Blakley WHITE Family Connections.
What I did on my break.
I ate lunch and baked some banana muffins on my break time. I was looking over some of my social media accounts. I'm not on as long as I use to be. The longest that I'm on facebook is to do my Family Connections projects.
Also I started updating my Dade Family Connections for January as well. I rearrange them as I posted them on my Dade Family Connections group on facebook for January.
I'm trying to keep up the pace.
I continue to get thrown off track. I'm bouncing back and doing things out of order. I hope I caught up. I believe that I will.
I'm getting into the habit of reading the news paper online.
I have to do it on my computer. My cellphone isn't the place to read a newspaper.
I'm thinking about un-goal- ing some of my genealogy searching.
It can be a stressful thing in doing goals and not compiling them. We don't have to pressure ourselves to please ours.
I'm posting early today.

With My Mind Set
As I'm journaling this blog, I'm moving right along. I might need to stop listening to things while I'm on my computer. I think, this could be slowing me down on what I set out to do.
I continue to work on my blog for week two on the #52Ancestors 52 Weeks in 2023. I posted that photo and another version of the photo on my facebook and instagram accounts. I didn't go into why I like the photo. My favorite photo is of my Great Grandfather Isaac Blakey.
I'm catching up on my things I needed to over the weekend. I try to have a free day sometime over the weekend. I see that I can't if I have to catch up on Mondays or Tuesday. I'll test and see how I can get things done during the weekdays.
I've been thinking about which days are my heavy days to do things to my lighter days. I see that my easies day is on every other Saturday. Fridays have become a little better day. Sundays , Mondays and Thursdays are long days. Wednesdays and Saturdays are okay days.
In the meanwhile, I'm coming along in this new year. I'm aware of the changes that I need to tickle. It takes practice in doing each day. With my mind set and the want to do what I need to do, I think that I can do it.

Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things
It's a free day for me. I have done what I plan to do. Now, I'm doing what I'm doing. What do I do?
There was not much to listen to on the internet nor on TV as I was journaling this blog. I'm glad that they finally picked the Speaker of the House. It's over and it's time to move on.
I officially took down the Christmas decorations. I didn't put much up this year. There was a small tree with some decorations. What cards, I had I taped them on the wall.
I'm back in the swing of searching for my family connections this week. I took a break in December, 2022. I continue to search for DNA connections. I found another DNA match with my 4th Great Grandfather Robert W. Lankford.
I worked on In Remembrance for February: DADE Family Connections. I did BARTLETT Family Connections this week as well. It took more time for the DADE family. About and hours. I doing things different this year.
I'm getting ready for the 2nd week of the year. The first week was long. I got caught up on my sleep. I average about 7 hours of rest this week. Well on the first on January I had 4 hour and 36 minutes on the day.
Yes, I'm getting into the swing of things. Those habits, I plan to do, have been a challenge to keep. But, if I put my mind to do them, I can. I have many distractions that come.
I went out to get the last newspaper today. It's the end of an era of the early morning paper. before 6:30 am. Now, the two newspaper will be carried by the postal carriers. Things are changing.
In 91 days, I'll enter into my next decade.

Still On The Journey
As I was journaling this blog, I was listening to the 13th ballot for the Speaker of the House. It appears that they are making some grounds. This vote has to end some time. It's the fourth day of voting.
I looked over some of my DNA matches and some sites for obituaries of relatives. It's good to keep searching for the DNA matches and for the relatives who have passed. This information could be some of the clues that are missing.
I continue to work on my second blog of 2023 for #52Ancestors challenge. One of my favorite photos of my Great Grandfather Isaac Blakey. I don't know much about when or why the photo was taken. But, I have the story on how I came across the black and white one and the clearer photo that was sent to me.
I was looking on my facebook memories and saw a project that I started in 2014. I need to update the photos of my relatives. The project is of photos in a frame on my father's side and my mother's side.
Then I was watching on the the 2nd Anniversary of January 6, 2021. I remember that day. It was a sad day. Thank God that the scheme of the devil did not prevail. God set His angels in place. It's sad the many people died.
I even stayed up to see the certification for the next President of the United States of America Joseph, Biden who won the 2020 election. The plan of the day was set in place, But!!! It didn't go their way. The votes had to be certify. If not certified, the President at the current time thought that he would still be President. How wrong he thought.
I pray that nothing like this will ever happen this again. There's too much hate and violence in America. Lord, have mercy on us.
Still On The Journey.

Ending Of One Season Into The Next
Happy 12th Day of Christmas! It's the last day of Christmas, as well. Tomorrow will be the official last day after Christmas as Epiphany comes on January 6, 2023.
As I'm journaling this blog, I was listening to the ending of the 8th and now the beginning of the 9th ballot count for the Speaker of the House. When will this end? This is sad that they can't agree. How will this House agree on things?
I have finished up and posted my first blog for the #52Ancestors 52 Weeks challenge by Amy Johnson Crow on a few of my websites: The Chronicles of Susan, Blakey Blakley WHITE Family Connections and my facebook page Susan Blakley: Family Connections. The post is the same of all sites but a little different on the Blakey Blakley WHITE Family Connections site and facebook page.
I delivered some Christmas gifts yesterday and still have more to get out of the way. Yes, Christmas is a season. There are many who haven't caught on to that.
I continue to keep up my habit. It's a challenge to do. I think that I can keep it up. If I don't get thrown off track by some things that will come up.
Today, I had to re arrange some things that I normally do. My time on the computer is short. But, I am making some grounds. I will get done.

Old Year Ending
This is the day that ends this year. Oh, what a day this has been. I'm been on the go. And I'm finally settling in for the night.
It doesn't feel like a Saturday. My routine day was turned around. I did what I could. I'm finishing up things and my last blog for the year.
I'm looking forward to 2023. There are things that I plan to make some things a habit. The old ways of doing some things will passed away. And new things will be, will be.
I plan to welcome in the new year. Time will time if I can do it. But, if I keep my mind on other things, I can. I normally work on my family connections searching.
I took a break from doing a lot of searching. This month was break time. I was doing other things. I'll get back into the swing of things.
A new year is about to give birth. We are on the thrush hold of new things. 2023 is waiting for us to explore and discover. May we make the most of our days and believe for the best of what's to come. Amen!

Happy Eve Of New Year's Eve!!
It's getting time to say so long to 2022. I've been doing my last dos of this week. And what a week this has become. It got up in the 60's.
That "Cold Spell" last weeks did through me off. I'm getting back on track, somewhat. I continue to look through my blogs sites. And I finished up my last blog for 52 ancestors today.
I'm counting down my days till my next decade. I think the count down clock is two days off. December 30, 2022 should be the 99 days away. New Year's Eve will be the 98 days to go. I'm counting down to the very minute of my day.

Glancing Over My Family Connections Information
I was browsing though my news clippings that I clipped on my newspaper.com. Oh, what the discoveries that were recorded in the news. News papers are a good source to search.
I was searching through my list of relatives on my Family Connections Family DNA Tree on ancestry.com I was looking to see how many people have passed since 2020 through 2022. Sad to say, that there were two relatives who died of COVID-19. I stumbled across some relatives by googling surnames in the State where relatives live.
I need to add these relatives who passed on my list of family connections in remembrance. I noticed that there were family members without obituaries. Only that they have passed with birth and death dates.
I was looking at the titles on my 52+ blogs that I posted mainly on The Chronicles of Susan, but also on my other family connections blogger and family connections facebook groups. I've been doing the #52Ancestors 52 Weeks challenges; created by Amy Johnson Crow since about 2019. I'm looking forward to post in 2023.
Still, I have more to look over on my family connections journey. This is just a start to review and update what I have. I have uncovered a lot this years. Wondering; what else will I uncover in 2023?

Finishing Out Each Day As They Come In 2022
Update on the newspaper:
It's free online, up to some point. People need to create an account if they don't have one. We need to subscribe if we want unlimited access to the digital news. Or if we want the Weekender, printed copy with the unlimited digital news. I though there would be a catch to this.
Journaling And Updating
I continue to journal every night before I retire for the day.
It's good therapy. I'm finding this to be a very good thing. I've been coming up with things that I haven't noticed and coming up with new ideas.
I continue to update my blogger's site Family Connections: Gathering The Generation. I've been adding more links to what I search. I hope that they will be helpful to those who are searching for your,
Working On Blogs:

The Ending Of Some Things
There are things in the process of coming to an end this year. This morning, as I pick up the newspaper, I was thinking that this is the very last hard copy of newspaper for Monday. Then this Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday will be the very last hard copies. It's the end of an ERA.
We will be receiving a Wednesday hard copy and a Friday weekender hard copy starting in the first week of 2023. Yes, it's the end of an era. And it's a new beginning.
The newspaper now, will be available free online. The Friday Weekender is a hard copy, we need to subscribe to. The paper will be delivered by the mail carries. It's the end of paper carriers who delivered early in the morning.
Even my computer will need an upgrade. My computer internet support service's expiration date is coming soon. I have to upgrade to the next level or get a new computer.
My internet journey began in August of 2004. I can't remember some of my passwords, So, I have been reset some of them.. I don't know how many times, I had to change some my passwords.
Now, I have to get use to reading the newspaper online. I have trouble reading the paper on my cellphone. So, if I want to read the paper, I have to get use to this new way.
I have to get use to my computer as well. I have to redo my accounts. I see that some of the sites are changing as well. I'm finish up on searching over all my accounts.
It's a good thing to make the change that we need to. We can't keep doing the same things forever.. With the new technology that's coming, we have to change they way we do things..
May we move with those changes.
