Preparing for lent, The season awaits
Fasting and praying, In all through those dates

Rethinking our lives, The sin that's within
Focus on Jesus, His cross, way back when

In His suffering, Paid the price for all
Enter this season, To our knees, we fall

Relive the journey, Jesus walked upon
Journey to the cross, Soul awakes the dawn

Drawing closer still, Sacred time been sent

Can't control changes, Wishing them to be
The way we want them, How we love to see

Desires of our hearts, We think, we're so blunt

Hidden in the dark, Not seen in the light
Of light who's within, Our being insight

Changes keep coming, No way to stop that

Believe to receive, By wisdom, insight

On a brand new trail, Left others behind

Love everlasting Always has power
