The Heat Wave Standing

A hot Summer day
No relief in sight
Until the day ends
Go down by the night

Times of refreshing
From the heat of day
The need for the land
Relief in its way

Plants needing water
Earth needing cool down
The heat wave standing
Cracking up the ground

But believe there's hope
Coming in each day
The Heat Wave Standing
But not here to stay
