Gathering together
To welcome the new year
People of all nations
Set awaiting to cheer
Standing in the doorway
That moment draws us near
With anticipation
Loud noises, shouts to hear
The sound of a new year
Birthing into being
Welcome to twenty twelve
We're looking forth seeing
A new start beginning
At life we long to see
