Drawing Closer, Still

Drawing closer, still, Leaving things behind
Moving on from past, Not crossing the line

Standing in the zone, And not looking back
Focusing on now, Not on what I lack

Nor what may have gain, Over time, here in
Learn from life's lessons, Rethinking of when

New beginnings rise, Old year put to rest
Some things have changes, That brings on each test
Rewards some prizes Awaiting each day
Drawing closer still Forever, new ways
