Long In The Waiting

Longing; in the waiting, This day passes by
Cold wind lingering, Oh, boy! how time flies

Standing awaiting To do what, to do
Eating, enjoying, To past the time through

Walking and searching, The way out of maze
Rejoicing, thanking, God for this good day

Of fun in the field, That comes once a year
Memories that last, In heart of good cheer

Season in changes, As long as it may
Long in the waiting, Thank God for this day
